Benefits by Subscription Level

Platinum – Daily - Dedicated Bookkeeper

Overview

The Platinum Program includes a Dedicated Bookkeeper who serves as the primary point of contact for your day-to-day bookkeeping operations.

This feature provides a structured, team-supported experience where one primary bookkeeper manages your account while being backed by the full ABBL team to ensure continuity, accuracy, and reliability.

What “Dedicated” Means at ABBL

What Your Dedicated Bookkeeper Does

Your Dedicated Bookkeeper is responsible for managing the day-to-day bookkeeping workflow, including:

  • Applying Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) activity as it occurs

  • Applying class tracking and job costing where applicable

  • Monitoring transaction activity and identifying missing or unclear items

  • Creating and managing To-Do requests for additional information

  • Communicating bookkeeping-related questions to the client

  • Preparing the books for Accountant Review and Month-End Close

  • Communication channels include:

    • Client Portal (primary and preferred)

    • Text message (for follow-ups and communication notifications)

    • Email (secondary, when needed)

Important Communication Note

  • Email responses are typically acknowledged within 1 business day but may require up to 2 business days for a complete response if research or internal review is required

Availability & Communication Boundaries

The Dedicated Bookkeeper operates within ABBL’s standard business hours and structured workflow system.

This means:

  • Communication is asynchronous, not real-time

  • Immediate or same-minute responses are not guaranteed

  • Services are not provided on nights, weekends, or holidays

This structure ensures accuracy, proper review, and consistent service delivery.

Continuity & Team Support

While a primary bookkeeper is assigned, ABBL operates as a team-based firm.

If your Dedicated Bookkeeper is unavailable:

  • Another trained team member will step in as needed

  • Work continues without disruption

  • Your records and workflows remain fully supported

This ensures your service is not dependent on a single individual.

What Is NOT Included in This Feature

The Dedicated Bookkeeper role does NOT include:

  • Financial strategy or advisory services

  • Tax advice or tax planning

  • Unlimited or on-demand Zoom access

  • Complex accounting decisions or technical accounting structuring

The Dedicated Bookkeeper serves as your assigned accounting professional responsible for completing your monthly bookkeeping work within the Bronze program. This role ensures consistency, accuracy, and familiarity with your business by having one primary team member responsible for maintaining your financial records each month.

When a Change Order or Upgrade May Apply

A change order or upgrade may be required if:

  • Work extends beyond the normal monthly bookkeeping scope

  • Significant additional communication or rework is required

  • The client requires more frequent interaction or support

  • The business grows in complexity requiring more hands-on bookkeeping

Clients needing more frequent touchpoints, faster turnaround, or expanded support may be better suited for Gold or Platinum service levels.

Why This Matters

Having a Dedicated Bookkeeper ensures your financial records are handled consistently by someone who understands your business. This continuity improves accuracy, reduces errors, and creates a more efficient bookkeeping process over time.

While Bronze provides this support on a monthly basis, it still delivers the key benefit of having a knowledgeable professional maintaining your books—giving you reliable financial records without the cost or complexity of higher-touch services.

Copper – Quarterly - Dedicated Bookkeeper

Overview

Your Dedicated Bookkeeper is the primary team member responsible for completing your quarterly bookkeeping work within the Copper program. They serve as the main operator on your account, handling transaction posting, document review, and communication through the client portal.

This role ensures consistency, accountability, and accuracy in how your financial data is processed each quarter.

Why This Matters

Having a Dedicated Bookkeeper means your financials are handled by someone who becomes familiar with your business over time.

This provides:

  • Greater consistency in transaction categorization

  • Faster identification of missing or unusual activity

  • More efficient communication and fewer errors

  • A reliable point of accountability within your bookkeeping process

Even within a simplified quarterly program like Copper, this continuity is critical to maintaining accurate and organized financial records.

Your Dedicated Bookkeeper is responsible for executing the bookkeeping work for your account each quarter in QuickBooks Online.

This includes:

  • Reviewing all transactions within scope for the quarter

  • Posting and categorizing transactions based on available data

  • Matching transactions to receipts, statements, and documentation provided

  • Uploading and managing To-Do requests in the client portal for missing items or clarification

  • Identifying unknown or unclear transactions and flagging them appropriately

  • Preparing the books for reconciliation and accountant review

They are the primary person performing the hands-on work required to complete your quarterly financials.

How Communication Works

All communication with your Dedicated Bookkeeper occurs through the ABBL client portal.

This includes:

  • Requests for missing documents

  • Questions about specific transactions

  • Notifications of incomplete or unclear records

  • Updates related to your quarterly bookkeeping

Response Style in Copper:

  • Communication is asynchronous

  • Responses are provided as workload allows

  • Immediate or real-time responses are not guaranteed

Quarterly Workflow Role

Your Dedicated Bookkeeper operates within the Copper program’s quarterly structure:

  • Primary work is performed after quarter-end

  • Limited activity (such as document requests or early review) may occur during the quarter at ABBL’s discretion, but:

    • This is not guaranteed

    • This is not part of the required service scope

Their main responsibility is to ensure all bookkeeping work for the quarter is completed accurately within the defined timeline.

Handling Missing or Unclear Information

Your Dedicated Bookkeeper will:

  • Post transactions based on available information

  • Flag missing documents, statements, or unclear items

  • Assign transactions to Uncategorized when necessary

These items will then be routed to the client portal for your review and clarification.

  • Provide required account statements and documentation

  • Respond to To-Do requests in the portal

Delays in providing information may result in:

  • Incomplete financials

  • Increased uncategorized transactions

  • Additional fees for rework if corrections are delayed

Scope & Limitations

  • Work is limited to the most recently completed quarter

  • Time allocated to your account is part of the Copper program’s total service hours

How This Works Within Copper

The Dedicated Bookkeeper role in Copper is designed to:

  • Deliver consistent, reliable bookkeeping within a limited service scope

  • Support a quarterly workflow rather than ongoing engagement

  • Balance professional service with affordability

  • Maintain clear boundaries around time, communication, and deliverables
